Jambiani is a small town on the east coast of Zanzibar, just 8 km south of the famous kite spot Paje. In Jambiani it’s a bit more quiet, so you have a lot of space on the water.
The lagoon of Jambiani is about two kilometres away from a reef, so the water in the lagoon is mostly shallow and therefore the ideal spot for beginners as well as freestylers. Is shallow water too boring for you? No problem! In front of the reef a nice wave breaks in at high tide on the reef.
In addition to kiting, Zanzibar also offers a variety of other activities. Discover the variety of flora and fauna on a trip to the Jozani National Park, paddle with a stand-up paddle board through the mangrove forests or explore the offshore reef with a snorkel. But Zanzibar also has a lot to offer culturally. Whether a day trip to Stonetown and a visit to the old slave market or to one of the spice farms, no matter where it drives you the island will enchant you. If that’s not enough action for you, then in the evenings you can enjoy Jambiani’s small but nice party scene or plunge into Paje’s nightlife.
