El Gouna
With Sunny Kiteboarding you are traveling to one of the most beautiful places in the world. Egypt means sunshine all year round with temperatures between 20 °C and 33 °C. The wind and spot conditions here are a dream come true for kiters.
We offer our kite courses and equipment rental at the kite school Kiteboarding Zone in Hurghada. This is a few kilometers south of El Gouna. We organize a transfer from El Gouna every morning and afternoon to take you to the kite station and back to your hotel or accommodation. If you want to go straight from your bed to the board, we recommend the Three Corners Sunny Beach Resort. From here, you can reach the kite station within a five-minute walk along the beach. Another hotel in the immediate vicinity of the kite spot is the Golden Beach Resort.
There is a beach club right next to the station where you can buy drinks and have lunch. Our students get a 10% discount on food and drinks here. The beach club also has a pool and sun loungers, which you are welcome to use.
It is much emptier at our spot than at the stations in El Gouna. We have a standing area that is surrounded by a reef. Thanks to the constant side-on shore wind, we have very safe practice conditions.
El Gouna is a modern, security-protected small town on the beautiful west coast of the Red Sea, just 30 km north of Hurghada.
Oriental flair combined with European standards make El Gouna the perfect vacation destination. In addition to more than 100 international restaurants, bars and cafés, there are numerous other leisure activities on offer here. In addition to kitesurfing, you can explore the beauty of the underwater world on a snorkeling or diving trip or explore the nearby mountains and sand dunes on a quad bike. El Gouna also has numerous renowned hotels, two golf courses and a wakeboard facility.
You won’t find long distances in El Gouna. With a TokTok, you can reach all locations and activities within a maximum of 15 minutes.

Nightlife
El Gouna also offers you a wide choice of things to do in the evening.
How about dinner at the Abu Tig Marina? With a view of huge luxury yachts, you can indulge in culinary delights here. From delicious tarte flambée at “Malu’s Deli” to camel steak at “Captains Inn Steakhouse”, there is something for everyone here. Every Thursday evening, you can dance to electro house music at “DuPort” or enjoy a relaxed cocktail at “The Tab”.
In Downtown you will find a number of Egyptian restaurants, such as Zomba or KanZaman, as well as international restaurants such as Zia Amelia or Swiss House. The absolute hotspot for all kiters is Karibu. Exquisite burgers and delicious drinks are served here in a cozy atmosphere and with good service. Special events such as “Schnitzeltag” on Wednesdays or “Steakmonday”, which are now a must for many, provide a breath of fresh air on the menu.
Every Tuesday evening, we can round off a successful day of kitesurfing with a great party at Karibu or party into the early hours of the morning on Sundays at the Club House right on the lagoon beach.

Whether it’s the El Gouna Film Festival, Squash Open, Motocross Rally or Beach Polo, Holifestival, International Wakeboard Championships, National Kite Championships or the Sandbox Festival – El Gouna hosts numerous events throughout the year that are definitely worth a visit.
